When creating Eat Social we committed to building sustainable catering and ESG into the very foundations of the business.
Prior to setting out our ESG strategy, we commissioned an independent review of our current and predicted impact.
The results of this review will form the backbone of what we anticipate to be one of the most comprehensive ESG strategies in food service.
Ahead of publishing our ESG strategy we can confidently say that:
Annual gender and ethnicity pay gap review to ensure parity and equal opportunities created for all
Our ingredients will be sourced with a focus on local and seasonal availability to ensure we are serving fresh food with the lowest possible footprint
Menus will be designed to prioritise circularity, creating innovative dishes using every part of the ingredient
We will examine the social and environmental impact of our business operations; from sourcing, production, deliveries, packaging, and education to waste management
We will be transparent about our findings, resources and journey to improvement
Our team members will receive sustainability training so they are empowered to make a difference

EMPOWERING YOUNG ADULTS
We work with Fair Shot, an incredible speciality coffee shop that empowers young adults with learning disabilities.
We provide Fair Shot with strategic advice as they grow their business and our People Team support with HR guidance.
Our ambition is to bring their graduates into our employment and support them as they embark on a career with us.
